On Apr. 17, CalPlug hosted their 21st semi-annual workshop at CALIT2. The event focused on the centers commitment “to find applicable technology solutions to address the climate crisis via decarbonization for our one planet and all its inhabitants.”
The CalPlug workshop series was launched in 2011 with the goal to maximize communication of the latest research findings and development, and to address challenges in plug load efficiency for both residential and commercial buildings. The events bring together utilities, manufacturers, advocacy groups, research institutions and energy policymakers.
Morning sessions featured a welcome from GP Li, director, CALIT2/California Plug Load Research Center and SMART IAC, and updates on research work being conducted by CalPlug and SMART IAC. Afternoon sessions centered on the topic, “Smart Energy Building Management, Climate Change Mitigation.” The program concluded with a panel discussion and Q&A with the guest speakers, followed by a network reception in the CALIT2 atrium.
